Dr. Jill Kitson graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She worked as a primary care veterinarian in Columbia City for three years, before transitioning to emergency and critical care at NIVES in September 2007. She has a special interest in feline medicine. She is certified in canine rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
Dr. Kim Smith received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2007 with interests in small animal and equine medicine. After veterinary school, she entered private practice as a mixed animal veterinarian in the Fort Wayne area.
She joined NIVES in December 2008, and has enjoyed the change to full time emergency medicine and critical care.
Dr. Jennifer Stresemann has been practicing emergency and critical care medicine at NIVES since receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 2006. She also spends time working as a veterinarian for Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
Dr. Karol Scott-Meyers received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 1983. She practiced mixed animal medicine for 7 years and was in small animal general practice for 2 years. She has been practicing emergency and critical care medicine since 1991. In June 1996, Dr. Scott-Meyers joined the emergency team at NIVES.
