Cassie Schiller, DVM, CCRT

Dr. Schiller is originally from Fenton, MI and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2015. After graduation, she moved to Indiana to complete a one-year surgery and emergency medicine internship at the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES). At its conclusion in 2016, Dr. Schiller accepted a full time position, joining the Emergency and Critical Care team at NIVES. Dr. Schiller’s special interest in canine sports medicine prompted her involvement in sled dog racing. She was a member of the 2015 sled dog veterinary team for the Race to the Sky in Montana and the Copper Dog 150 in Michigan. As her interest in sports medicine continued to grow, Dr. Schiller was driven to achieve her certification in Canine Rehabilitation Therapy in 2016. While she definitely stays busy with K9 rehabilitation and emergency medicine, in her free time Dr. Schiller enjoys exercising, playing video games and visiting her family in Michigan.
